Mission Statement
At Cane & Boniface P.C., our objective is to help you take care of yourself and your loved ones, give what you have to who you want to have it, and save taxes and fees in the process. Each plan should honor your individuality, encourage creative confrontation of mortality and help you consider how to transfer values as well as wealth. Where appropriate, we can help you “do well by doing good” through charitable giving. We aspire to carry out our mission with intelligence and integrity, and in a manner that reflects our personal values and our commitment to our community.
We're here to serve you
Our physical office is in Nyack, NY, a village on the Hudson River in Rockland County. Our office is currently open Monday through Friday, by appointment only. We are adjusting to the “new normal” to keep our clients and staff safe.
- We are meeting with clients in person in our office, however, we are limiting the number of client meetings per day.
- We know that many people are not yet comfortable leaving the safety of their homes. Fortunately, technology now allows us to meet via video conferencing and we can of course conduct a substantial amount of business over the phone.
- Temporary New York law allows us to witness and notarize documents virtually, so for now you can sign legal documents without ever leaving your home. Please note that for remote signings you will need to be physically located in New York. you will also need access to video conferencing tools (such as Zoom or Skype) and a scanner or fax machine.
Once we return to a sense of normalcy, we will resume our ability to meet with New York City clients in their homes, offices, or another mutually convenient, quiet location. Please note additional fees apply for meetings outside of our Nyack office.
Most of our clients live in Rockland, Westchester, New York, Orange, and Putnam counties in New York; in Bergen County in New Jersey; and Fairfield County in Connecticut. We welcome clients from out-of-state who need assistance settling estates in our jurisdictions and understanding the local probate, administration, trust, and tax laws and procedures.
